QTC SWATHVIEW Seabed Classification
QTC SWATHVIEW is software that loads and processes raw backscatter data from a wide range of multibeam, sidescan and interferometric sonar systems to make maps of seabed type. Classes typically include material type (sand, gravel, mud etc) and features (ripple marks, bedrock, seagrass etc). A map of acoustic classes which can be related to bottom type is generated by grouping together areas of the seabed that are acoustically similar.
QTC SWATHVIEW
- uses the data recorded by the source sonar - no additional harwdare is required
- uses image segmentation techniques that do not require calibrated backscatter
- uses a patented process to compensate the backscatter image for artifcats caused by survey geometry, such as grazing angle and range artifacts
- supports both Supervised and Unsupervised classification
QTC SWATHVIEW is simple to use and combines the capabilities previously embodied in the proven QTC MULTIVIEW and QTC SIDEVIEW products.
