Quester Tangent Awarded Contract for Train Management Systems By MBTA

VICTORIA, BC, CANADA JUNE 9, 2009: Quester Tangent announced today the receipt of a contract from the Rotem USA Corporation for the delivery of Train Management Systems.

The systems including operator display’s will included on Rotem’s cars to be delivered to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority as part of a 75 car, $190M procurement of new rail vehicles. Stephen McKay, CEO of Quester Tangent, made the announcement at the Corporation’s new facility near Victoria BC. “This represents another major boost to the partnership between Rotem and QT”, said McKay who referenced ongoing contracts with Rotem USA for Train Management products into Philadelphia’s SEPTA and Southern California’s Metrolink rail vehicles. The contract, for unspecified amount, also includes delivery of Electronic Light Controllers and Power Supplies. Project engineering will start immediately with units off the production line expected April 2011.
