Fleetwise EFM, Fleet Manager Software V1.2 coming soon!

Fleet Manager software v.1

The Fleetwise® Enterprise Fleet Management (EFM) system is being updated with a new release of its Fleet Manager software. Fleet Manager V1.2 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2026. This is an exciting new release for transit authorities and operators, as it adds automated software configuration management spanning an entire fleet of passenger rail cars. Fleet Manager V1.2 improves the ability to monitor and manage on-car software from the wayside, thanks to the following capabilities:

  • ‘One-click’ car software baseline assignment – Click on any individual car in the fleet to assign that car’s software payload as a software configuration item (SCI) baseline. Once selected, all similar car types in the fleet that have onboard software mismatched with the baseline will be automatically highlighted. Once flagged, those cars can then be automatically scheduled to be updated to the correct version next time they are in the yard.
  • Multiple SCI baselines per vehicle type – This feature allows more than one valid SCI baseline within the fleet, useful for deploying test software on a train without flagging the whole fleet as mismatched from the baseline or upgrading a fleet to a new software version.
  • No impact to TCMS software – This update provides enhanced functionality without requiring changes or approvals to onboard Trainwise® or third-party TCMS software.
